Academic Skills Workshops: APA Style & References

Information and resources for academic skills workshops.

About this workshop

What you'll learn:

  1. In-text citations
  2. Reference list citations
  3. How to use APA guides

Hands on practice

First, write down what type of source it is (for example, print book). Then cite the source by using the APA Citation Style handout to find a similar example. You can use the OCtopus Cite Tool to copy and paste the citation, but make sure the citation is accurate (many are not)! Always double check with handout.
