The Implementation of Potable Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems is one of the Top 10 Public Health Achievements of the last 160-Years

Access to a safe supply of water for drinking, cooking, and personal hygiene is an essential for good health. An inadequate water supply whether as a result of poor access or quality, low reliability, high cost, or difficulty of management is associated with significant health risks. Going hand-in-hand with safe drinking water is the need to employ effective wastewater treatment, solid waste management practices and it is essential to implement a continuous environmental monitoring program to ensure that all aspects of the water supply program are working as intended.

This Library Guide is designed to assist Students and Instructors in the Okanagan College  Water Engineering Technology program in the use of Library Resources and Services that support their education goals.
