MLA, APA, Chicago Style

Citation styles dictate the way one lists and formats references. The most important rule to remember is to follow the citation style prescribed by the course's instructor such as:

  • APA Style Guide
    The APA style Guide is based American Psychological Association style.
  • *Chicago Style Guide
    The Chicago Style Guide was created for history courses at Okanagan College and is based on Rampolla's Pocket guide to writing in history
    *For this course please check The Chicago Style Manual.  (NB. 16th ed.  2011 is on order)
  • MLA Style Guide
    The MLA Style Guide is based on the Modern Language Association style.
