About ebooks on EBSCOhost

Read e-books online: Click PDF Full Text

Download e-books for later / devices: "check out" the book to download it and read it offline (on a computer or device) for a specified number of days.

Note-Taking: Create a free MyEBSCO account [link] to save your own notes.

Waiting List: If the e-book you want to read is already in use, you can "Place a Hold" and be put on a waiting list. You will be notified by email when the e-book is available for you to read.

Note for Kindle Users: Kindles do not natively support eBooks from EBSCOhost, but you can still view EBSCO eBooks using the Bluefire Reader app.

You can read e-books in the browser window without signing in or downloading them to your device. Simply click on the PDF Full Text link (1).

To download an e-book, you will have to Sign in to your My EBSCOhost account (2). This is a free account you can create.

Once you have signed in, you can Download the e-book (3). You will need to have Adobe Digital Editions installed if you're on desktop, or Bluefire Reader installed if you're on mobile.

Once you have signed in, you can click the download link, which will lead you to this screen, where you can choose your loan period (download duration) and file type. Once you check that you have Adobe Digital Editions installed, the book will download and open in Adobe Digital Editions.

Not every book will have an EPUB version, but the link to access it will be in the same location, and the option to download the EPUB will appear in the popup window.

If you choose to read the e-book in the browser, this is what it will look like. You can save or print a certain amount of pages, depending on copyright and the licensing agreement the library has with the database.
