Anti-Racism Book Club

This guide provides summaries and discussion questions for books selected for anti-racism book club. Any faculty or staff member can borrow this kit to engage in these discussions.

Borrowing the Kit

  • 10 copies of the book 
  • QR code and link to the discussion questions (this guide)
  • A clear plastic bin
  • The book club kit can be found on the main floor of Kelowna Campus Library, on the reserve shelves. Please talk to the circulation staff. 
  • If you're based on another campus, you can request it to be delivered to yours. 
  • One book club member will need to reserve and sign out the kit with their library card. This cardholder is responsible for the contents of the kit.
  • Loan period: 30 days (One month)
  • Can be renewed six times 
  • If you lose or damage Library materials, you are responsible for replacement and processing costs. You have the right to discuss fines with a librarian. You may also file a formal appeal.
  • One book club member will need to reserve and sign out the kit with their library card. This cardholder is responsible for the contents of the kit.

How to use this guide

  • Each chapter of the book will have a pre-reading question(s), chapter summary, and discussion question(s).
  • You can choose how often your group will meet and how many chapters you will read. You can also decide to have the book club asynchronously. 
  • Remember to refer to Community Agreement on this guide.
