Literature Reviews

What are Literature Reviews?

More than a list of studies, a literature review is a critical, analytical summary and synthesis of knowledge on a topic
        - Might not cover absolutely everything, but should discuss the most significant academic literature
        - Goal is to provide a critical overview of the current state of research efforts
        - What is known? What is controversial? What weaknesses exist with our current understanding? Potential avenues for future research?
