This guide is intended to accompany Okanagan College's film screening of Bones of Crows to honour Truth and Reconciliation day.

The film is based on actual events of colonial violence and trauma that many Indigenous people have experienced, including the removal of children. Some of these scenes may be upsetting or triggering, particularly for direct or intergenerational survivors of Residential Schools in the audience.

For that reason, we have compiled a list of mental health resources, some of which are Indigenous-specific.

We have also compiled a list of further educational resources for those wanting to continue their learning about residential schools and colonialism in Canada.
