Why you should always start your research using OCtopus

The Okanagan College Library Collection is sometimes referred to as a curated collection. This means that the librarians and faculty work together in selecting information to include in the Collection. This includes

  • Books and E-Books;

  • Journals and E-Journals;

  • Periodicals (magazines, newspapers, etc.);

  • Research Databases;

  • Streaming Media, and

  • Webpages.

Okanagan College pays money to various information providers in order that you can access much of this content for your studies.

If you use the Web to locate information, you may run into what is called a "paywall" that will show you a small segment of the information but ask you to pay in order to access the full information.

DO NOT PAY FOR ACCESSING INFORMATION.

Instead, contact me, and I will help you arrange to gain access to this content.
