Specific Claims Tribunal Act

The Specific Claims Tribunal Act was the result of Indigenous Nations bringing forward grievances that needed to be resolved regarding treaty obligations or the administration of Indigenous lands and assets under the Indian Act

The Specific Claims Tribunal was created in 2008, as an independent judicial body with the authority to make final and binding decisions in such matters.
