Use Okanagan College Library's search engine OCtopus to search for books, e-books, reference sources, streaming videos and more. Using a single search box, users can find multiple resource types, with results delivered in a single, relevancy ranked list.
To find books initiate your search in OCtopus.
Once in OCtopus you can then limit your search results by Resource Type in the left hand column.
From there choose the resource type you would like to limit to such as BOOKS or E-BOOKS.
You will find streaming videos and physical media in:

and
2 - At the Library webpage scroll down to the heading FIND RESOURCES then Videos & Media click on Streaming Video Databases .

Kanopy Streaming Video
Online video streaming service distributing films from BBC, PBS, Media Education Foundation, and many others. Provides an excellent selection of classic and contemporary educational documentaries and theatrical films.
Kanopy was founded in 2007 with a single-minded idea: to change the way students learn through the power of film, while generating a sustainable economy for filmmakers. Kanopy is an aggregator of video content between filmmakers and academic libraries.
National Film Board Campus (Canada)
Watch hundreds of NFB films online, including documentaries, animation and alternative dramas.
Faculty and instructors can contact the Web Services Librarian (rjanyk@okanagan.bc.ca) to set-up an individual account to create chapters and playlists.

Google, in conjunction with a number of large research universities, is in the process of digitizing millions of books. For older books, where copyright has expired, anyone can view the entire book through Google Books (Look for books labelled "Full View"). Where copyright still applies - generally for newer books - a limited preview is often available.
