A library catalogue is a complete list of all the materials in a library collection, presented in a way that helps users find and retrieve those materials.

Once you find a book in the catalogue, you need the following information to locate it:
Campus: if a book is not at your campus, you can request a transfer .
Location: where is the book in the library - circulating collection, reserves, reference.
Call Number: HM 651 .M38 2005 (you will find this number on the spine of the book).
Status: available, checked out (you can request a hold for a book that is checked out).

Call numbers are organized by SUBJECT. For example, all books on education will be under the letters LB, depending on the specific subject (ie. teaching, learning, teaching english, etc.). |

Electronic books can offer a great alternative to print books. Depending on the title, you may be able to download the e-book to your computer, e-reader, tablet, or handheld device. If you are off-campus, you may be required to login.
