What is Inter Library Loan?
Interlibrary Loan, also called ILL, is a service available through the Library for students, faculty and staff to borrow material from other libraries. It is used to access library materials such as print books, Video/DVDs, Journal articles that the OC Library does not have in its collection.
You can initiate such a request using the
Interlibrary Request can also be initiated directly from within OCtopus Search Results, when OCtopus will flag a search request as requiring an Interlibrary Loan request in order to access the content.
Inter-Library Loan form within OCtopus
To search for sources that the OC Library does not have in its collection simply turn off the Available in Library Collection & Online option. The webpage will repaint itself and Inter-Library Request Links will appear in your search results.
