This is an OC Library Research Guide prepared for the DSCI 321 Health Analytics course to introduce the students to how to use the resources and services of the library in their course research assignments
Literature Review: A survey of information found in scholarly articles, books, and other literature related to an area of study. A presentation of references on a given topic, found through a carefully structured clinical question and in-depth research.
Describes, summarizes, evaluates and clarifies prior research.
Not only summarizes other research, also examines the relationship.
Determines what has already been investigated, identifies potential relationships, defines key concepts, and relates to research already completed.
Considers different disciplines topic may cover.
