The OC Library Reference Desk is located on the Library's main floor.

During the Fall Semester, the Kelowna Reference Desk is staffed from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Library Reference Staff are available on an on-call basis from 9:00 to 10:00 AM and again from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Monday - Friday.

When Library reference Staff are not available in the evenings and on weekends, questions can be directed to the Library Circulation desk, or you can use the AskAway Online Reference service.

The library has an email form you can fill out with relevant details about the needed help. Once received, the library staff will respond to your request within 1 - 3 (service is monitored Monday - Friday.

The Library Webpage and OCtopus Search have AskAway links directly embedded in them, which are active when the service is open.  

AskAway is governed, funded, and collaboratively staffed by participating libraries. 

The AskAway Fall semester schedule starts on Monday, September 16, 2024, and the services runs through Friday, December 6, 2024.

The service hours are:

Sunday 10:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. 

Monday - Thursday 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.

Friday 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 PM

Saturday 11:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
