Open Access

Open Access refers to the creation of scholarly content such as a journal or book that is free of charge to the user. it is typically free of most copyright and licensing restrictions, and access restrictions such as Digital rights management (DRM) or the requirement that a user register to access the content. 

The cost of producing Open Access content is borne by the authors or institutions that they are associated with.
