Statista - Percentage of residents with select disease diagnoses in continuing care facilities in Canada in 2022-2023
In Canada during the fiscal year 2022-2023, one in six residents in residential continuing care facilities (not hospital-based) were diagnosed with dementia. In addition, over half of residents had hypertension, and three in ten were depressed. This statistic shows common disease diagnoses among residents of residential continuing care facilities who had been medically assessed.
