Speaking and Listening

Speaking a new language is a powerful learning experience. Current research is suggesting that those learners who put an emphasis on speaking will increase their progress in learning the new language. As the speaker works to form the sentences, their working memory is engaged which increases connections among the linguistic elements. However, listening is still important. Listening helps a learner hear and mimic the rhythm and timing of native speakers, identify patterns in sentence structures and form the sounds of the language.  Try to incorporate both practices in your learning journey.
