Chicago Manual of Style System (AUTHOR-DATE)

The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) AUTHOR-DATE SYSTEM uses parenthetical references within the text and a corresponding reference list at the end of the document.  

The CMOS author-date system is commonly used for the following disciplines: 

  • Anthropology
  • Geography
  • Sociology
