The Main Reason Why You Cite

Proper citation of the sources that you included in your research paper allows your reader to be given sufficient metadata to identify where to locate the source of the information that you are using.

  • Proper citation allows you to acknowledge the contribution of other writers and researchers in your work. A standard practice in Scholarly Communication.

  • It demonstrates your research strategy/skills and information evaluation expertise.
