This course guide is designed to assist students in understanding the complex issues involved in environmental management specifically climatic change and how the adoption of new policies and technologies can help to mitigate this crisis situation.

Wind Power Another Tool in Our Climate Change Tool Kit

Wind power is one of the first renewable energy sources to be explored and adopted, in Canada. It is cheaper than coal, and as a result its popularity has in the last 15 years has grown. Except in British Columbia. This is not because we don't have many locations for wind farms, but because we have been too focused on two of our other energy sources LNG and Hydroelectricity.
