Retraction from the 2024 DSCI Library Research Guide
In 2011, Peter Densen, M.D., in his article "Challenges and Opportunities Facing Medical Education," noted that "medical knowledge' in the 1950s doubled every 50 years; by the 1980s, it doubled every seven years; by 2010, it doubled every 3.5 years. He predicted that by 2020, it would be doubling every 0.2 years (73 days). Or does it? And it only gets worse on the Web.
